FAQ

Jewellery Commissions

Using coins as the base for my works is perfect for creating a very personalised piece. I can find coins from specific birth years, countries that might have a particular significance or images, such as animals that you or the person you are creating a gift for has a special fondness off.

I am also very happy to work with coins that you might already own. So often peoples coin collections are passed down through family’s and me making you a unique piece of jewellery can be the perfect answer as to what to do with them.

To finish this heirloom gift off, I will loving draw all the details of the coins used onto the box the piece of jewellery comes in, so the history will be recorded forever.

Boxes

As i concentrate on the ‘drawings’ found on the coins to be used for my jewellery, the details of what country it is from, its worth and the year it was minted are often all cut away. I think it is important to record this information so I illustrate each box with the details of its history.

I can also add a hand written inscription on the box if it is a gift.

If you would like me to personalise the box do let me know once you have made the order.

Chains

All chains are Sterling Silver. These can be oxides (blackened) or Gold plated. I use various designs of chains, if you desire a particular style that is shown on my website please contact me with details once your purchase has been made otherwise the chain provide will be chosen by me.

*Chains with a catch are an approximate standard of 17”/ 44cm chain length + catch.

*Single Chain without catch are an approximate of 28” / 77cm chain length.

If you have a preference for a different chain length do contact me once order has been made.

Catches & fitting

On my larger necklaces and bracelets I like to use my ‘Horseshoe’ catch.

It is a design I found on a vintage piece of jewellery and have re-created. It adds a lovey extra detail to a piece and acts like a T-bar or Toggle catch.

If you would prefer for me to use a standard Bolt Ring style catch please contact me once you have made your purchase.

On a standard necklace with a fine chain I handmade a hook and ring catch, please see image below.
