Ring workshop
Come & make your own ring with me in my lovely studio in Wiltshire.
Skill level - beginners up
1-2-1 tutoring - max of 2 people
You will learn how to make a basic band for a ring & then embellish it with hand cut designs from decommissioned coins to create a beautiful decorative ring.
We will start the workshop by having a look at a collection of my coin jewellery work & discussing the design you would like to make inspired by what you have seen & then get to work!
You will learn all sorts of jewellery techniques from forming silver wire, soldering, sawing & polishing.
It will be a great experience & I will help you to make a stunning ring to take away with you by the end of the workshop.
You will be able to record the details of the coins you have used to make your ring on a box to house your ring when you are not wearing it. I am happy to do the drawing for you if you would like.
This workshop is for a silver ring.
The rings shown here are the type of ring I intend to make with you as this will give a wide range of jewellery techniques but other designs can be discussed.
All materials will be supplied.
Refreshments will be served & a delicious lunch if you choose.
Please bring any coins you might have collected from your travels or inherited if you’d like to use them, adding that extra special edge to your ring.
(If you’d like to do this do send be a quick photo of the coins you have so I can make sure they will work for this particular workshop).
Costing per person…
1pm to 5pm £160
*Silver coin ring workshop includes refreshments
12pm to 5pm £180
*Silver coin ring workshop includes a delicious lunch to ease into the workshop & discuss the design.
The course will run on a Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday.
If you need to cancel on the day of the workshop please let me know asap & we can rearrange - a small charge may be added for a cancelation, this will be at my discretion.
*Extra time on the day will be charged at £40 per hour
