The work in this stunning piece of antique lace is fantastic. The hours that must have been spent making it. This is why I have made these sweatshirts. You find pieces of textile like this & I just want them to be out in the world again rather then tucked away in box. I have blanket stitched; one of my favourite stitches - in a lovely peach thread to create a delicate collar detail to this sweatshirt. The top has a brilliant shiny copper flex through the very dark blue fabric & a nice gather on the shoulder to give it a little fullness with lovely full sleeve too. The fabric has a good weight to it & hangs really well. A brilliant addition to your wardrobe, wonderfully comfy, colourful & fun.
