One Of A Kind Earrings -
I love finding Coin ‘Charms’ like these that have simply had a link added to them at some point in their past so they can be worn - the most basic form of ‘coin jewellery’. Honouring that bit of their history I never cut into these but attach more to them from the link. For these earrings I am using a miss-match pair of silver coins from 1910 & 1896. For the drop of the stud earring I have used the beautiful floral design from the Chinese 1 Yuan which sits nicely on the ear lobe.
Materials: Coin of silver & mixed alloys, 24ct recycled gold plated.
Fittings: Stud Ear - sterling silver, 24ct recycled gold plated.
Dimensions: Length 3cm. Width 2cm.
The jewellery comes presented in a box I hand draw, recording the history of the coins used to make the piece.
Note; The knitted jumper these earrings are displayed on is miniature, the earrings are not gigantic!
